From Karlie Kloss to Gigi Hadid, How to Bundle Up Like a Celebrity

Styling for cool weather can be fun, but after weeks and weeks of endless rain, wind and snow, all you want to do is be cozy under your puffy blanket with a cup of hot chocolate. Although, someday you will get out of the house. In order to look stylish throughout winter, trend setters have been my inspiration. Everyone knows that winter is the time for dark and neutrals. Gigi Hadid showed how to rock that look, stepping out in New York.

Wake Up For Make Up

I love doing my make up, generally because I am good at it lol… I think one of the reasons why I love doing my make up is because it looks natural. I don’t generally do my eye make up on a daily routine besides applying mascara.

One of the most frequent questions asked is what products I use and how does my make up blend in so well. So here are make up products I use step by step.

I first use the Giorgio Armani Primer: Maestro UV Skin Defense Primer SPF 50. This absorbs extra oil from my face and leaves my skin a smooth and shine free look. This provides an anti UV filters which is transparent. These filters absorb the sun rays and prevents them from reaching the skin.

Armani Silk Foundation

I create my base with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I use Charlotte TIlbury Foundation in Medium 7

I use NARS Medium1 Custard Concealer which gives my under eyes a luminous finish and full coverage. It diminishes fine lines and makes me look more fresh! I don’t exactly have dark circles, therefore I don’t generally need to use a concealer, but it’s fun using it :p makes me look more bright. For those who have dark circles this works like magic! One of the benefits of using NARS concealer is that it is LONG LASTING, and creamy which makes it very easy to apply!

I then pat everything down with Anastasia Beverly Hills Artis Brush or with Beauty Blender.

This contour kit contains 6 powders – out of which 3 are for highlighting and 3 for contouring. There are different contour kits depending on your skin tone, I use the light to medium pallet. It is one of those kits I cannot live without. The lighter shades are used to enhance your features, I used to use it for highlighting till I purchased the highlighting kit. The darker shades are used more for defining and shading. I use the powder contour as my skin is more sensitive and combination. However, for those who have dry skin, I would recommend them to purchase the cream contour kit, as it blends in better.

I use the  Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit ‘That Glow’  which has four metallic powders. the one that looks yellowish is called Sunburst – I don’t really use it much. However, Golden Bronze, Bubbly, and Dripping in Gold look very similar, but when applied the look is very different. I tend to mix these three mostly Bubbly and Golden Bronze. the texture of these powders are as soft as other popular highlighter, but still looks gorgeous once its applied. This glow kit is one of my essentials along with the contour kit. One disadvantage of this kit is the packaging which is cardboard, similar to the contour kit.

There are obviously much more advantages to this Glow Kit. the first one is that the powders are blendable and easy to mix with the other powders. After using the Glow Kit my cheekbones look very sharp and prominent like a diamond. Another advantage is that you can use the Glow Kit as eyeshadows, which makes the Glow Kit very worth buying!!!

Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit enhances your natural beauty.

NARSI apply the Nars Blush named Orgasm to the apples of my cheeks. To know where the  apples of your cheeks are you can find them by smiling. I also sometimes apply it all the way back to my hairline (similar to contouring).

If you are in need of long lasting lipstick this summer then check out Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks. It is perfect for holidays, parties, dates, as well as work – where you may not have time to re-apply.

My Favourite Looks At Cannes Film Festival 2016

Below are the five best looks I have picked out from the Premiere during the 69th annual Cannes Film.

Sonam Kapoor wears dramatic white gown with a embroidered cape with matching chocker styled by

Rhea Kapoor (sister).  I love her make up as she looks so fresh! The white highlights at the edge of her eyes

accentuated drama, however to balance her  natural look she wore a nude lipstick and straightened her hair

which made her look more sophisticated.

Gown: Ralph & Russo

Araya Hargate’s gown has been described as having

delicately-flowing openwork of printed celadon flowers on the skin-tight sheath dress inside and spreading its tendrils on the overlaid voluminous skirt.

Gown: Zuhair Murad

Alessandra Ambrosio took the Cannes style to a whole new level in a sparkly, embellished Zuhair

Murad Couture  ballgown & ball  gown pant ( combo ). Her stylist Jennifer Mazure had been eyeing

this ballgown outfit since Paris Couture Fashion Week. Her Bulgari Serpenti necklace is also a special find.

Charlize Theron was born to rock the lady tux (Dior Haute Couture) at  “The Last Face” premiere.

Tuxedo: Christian Dior Couture

Jewellery: Cartier

Heels: Christian Louboutin

Jourdan Dunn attends “The Unknown Girl (La Fille Inconnue)” at the Palais des Festivals.

6 Things I Live By For Better Skin…Sometimes

Our skin is just like a babies butt, sensitive and delicate. If we do not take proper care of it, we will get rashes. With the new healthy-living hype going around, I am quite sure the importance of skin care has been drilled into your brain. Taking care of your skin is like exercising, eating a balanced diet, or even caring of your hair. However, with so many skincare brands constantly improving and releasing new products, it can become difficult to differentiate between a holy-grail product and an overly-hyped product.

Everyone has a different skin-type (oily, dry, normal, combination) with different concerns (acne, ageing, hyper pigmentation, sensitivity, loss of firmness, etc…). The list is endless. When it comes down to the skincare routine, there is definetly going to be a huge variety, depending on your goal and skin type.

However, there are a few things that everyone, should do for their skin on a daily basis, regardless of age or skin type. When talking about your skin, it does not refer to your face, but head to toe.

1. Drink Water

Hydrating your skin is probably the most important thing you need to be worried about, as drinking water makes a significant difference to skin health.

2. Cleanse

There are different cleansers which you can use, depending on your skin goal and skin type. Whether you use acne cleanser, or any other kinds, it is important you cleanse your face at least once a day to get rid of dirt.

3. Moisturize: Day & Night

Going back to hydration – drinking water is not the only factor to keep your skin hydrated. You need to moisturize your skin day and night

4. Protection: Sunscreen

Sun protection is important for various reasons (ageing, skin cancer, hydration, and etc.) Sunscreen is not only important for your face, but is important for your whole body. If your laying under the sun it is necessary to apply it all over your body, however if you are just going out, then it is important to apply it on your face and neck, as well as the backs of your hands as they are very sensitive.

5. Always Remove Make Up

DO NOT sleep in your make up, as it is one of the most common way to suffer from acne.

6. Eat Your Omega-3’s

Healthy omega-3 fats can be found in Salmon, which can boost collagen production, reduce inflammation, as well as help your skin to glow. However, if you are a vegetarian like me, then nuts and flaxseeds will do.

Over the past year, my skin has improved manifolds. As you can see in the picture above, I have no makeup on, except for lipstick (I’m addicted lol). Despite late nights and tiring days, I TRY to give my 100%, on a daily, to my skin. We may see slight improvements today, but with a good skincare regiment, approximately a year down the line, we will not have to be wasting money on botox.
